•CONTACT METHOD: AIM or Plurk work best, ask if you want 'em. Otherwise, PM works too.
•THREAD-JACKING: As long as it doesn't look like/is marked as a private conversation, have at it
•FOURTH WALLING / CANON PUNCTURE: Feel free to let your character recognize that he's fictional, I'd just prefer if you do that the version they recognize is the one from the comics, not the show. They're also welcome to mistake him for anyone the actor has played. Considering the canon's only one season thus far and he'll be coming from varying points, I don't think there's much need to worry about canon puncturing, but ask if you're not sure.
•BACKTAGGING: Everybody does it, so feel free.
•AVOIDED TOPICS: Nothing I can think of so far in terms of things that squick me out personally or make me uncomfortable in any way. I don't play non-con or sex with minors, but otherwise anything's fare game. If you're not sure, ask. Cas may bite, but I don't.
IC CHARACTERISTICS:
•CURRENT CANON POINT: Varies; default's the end of season one when they embark on the Road Trip God Quest, but it changes based on context and need. You have a specific one you want to play from, just let me know.
•PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Tall and lanky with dark hair that's much shorter on the sides than it is on the top; it started outright shaved, but by now it's less noticeably so, depending on the point in canon. He's got brown eyes and tattoos sprawling across his arms and hands but not really anywhere else. He tends to dress in whatever clothes come to hand first, which makes for a fairly...interesting combination of ensembles, from vaguely Billy Idolesque to 90s grunge to 'hobo chic' to the kind of look that would be at home in just about any major city today, a collection which only grows more odd when he goes outside during the day. He's rarely seen outside without a wide-brimmed hat of some kind and aviator sunglasses, although the last is generally used more for the comfort of everyone around him as well as his own rather than a stylistic choice. He's paler than most to the point of looking outright plagueridden if the light's bright enough, and more often than not smells like meat and blood to those with sensitive noses.
•DEMEANOR: Cassidy is a loudmouthed Irishman who doesn't generally bother censoring himself before he speaks, saying whatever thought pops into his head. He's slow to offense or anger but vicious when he is, much preferring to drink, drug, screw, and party his way through life rather than confront or deal with all the intricacies other people deal with on a regular basis. He's sarcastic and cynical, a self-proclaimed hopeless case who prefers not to believe in anything or anyone, but nonetheless has a habit of befriending anyone who shows him a modicum of kindness, whether or not they want to be friends. His sense of morality is shaky at best, but he's nonetheless steadfastly, stupidly loyal to those he considers his friends.
•ABILITIES: Being a vampire, Cassidy has much greater strength than humans, being shown to casually throw people around as if it's nothing and subdue and overcome people far bigger than he is. He's not your typical vampire; he's immune to crosses and holy water, and silver, and garlic, and he doesn't have fangs, he doesn't turn into smoke or a wolf or a bat, and he doesn't need to sleep in dirt. Fire's pretty deadly, sunlight in particular, but that's about it. His tolerances are much greater than that of humans, from poisons and toxins to drugs to just about anything else, and his senses are significantly heightened.
•MEDICAL INFORMATION: Cassidy needs blood to survive, but only in the sense that it helps him heal; he's only ever shown to drink it after he's been injured, and even then, outside of a singular instance he had no control over, it's only from animals, people who have hurt him or his friends, or blood from a bloodbank; he doesn't like the taste, personally, but he needs it to survive from time to time so he makes do. The worse off he is the more he needs, but when it comes down to it fresh human blood is the most effective.
•OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS: Not much; he's far more likely to offend others.
IC PERMISSIONS:
•MENTAL: Absolutely! Not sure how effective it would be, him being undead and all, but they're welcome to try anyway, wouldn't be the first time.
•MIMICRY: Absolutely.
•AFFECTION/CONTACT: Cassidy's a bit of a glutton for it (even if he'll never admit it), so please do.
•FLIRTING: Absolutely. He'll probably flirt back if he wasn't already.
•SEX: Yup. Talk to me about it first and all that, but Cas is a fan so yeah it may be a thing.
•VIOLENCE: Of course. Anything that might get to temporary death-levels I'd appreciate if you asked first, and we'll have to work out ultimate outcomes because vampire, but otherwise have at it!
•MAGIC: Definitely. Some varieties might even have more chance of success than others.
•DEBATE: Not sure how well they'd go, Cassidy being Cassidy, but they're welcome to try.
•OTHER / NOTES: Cassidy is, by nature, a periodically and casually violent and selfish addict. He needs blood to survive when he gets hurt badly enough and uses all manner of drugs habitually and with reckless abandon. In the original source material he has a nasty habit of dragging people down to his level and hurting them by accident with worrying frequency; this last part will ONLY be implemented on request/discussion since it hasn't been mentioned or explored in any real depth in the show thus far, but the rest of it comes with the territory.
